I found this Viognier interesting. Another wine from South Africa.
Sight
Pale color depth with an amber hue.
Smell
Moderate young aromas of tropical fruit, melon, grapefruit, grass/weed.
Taste
Dry, medium-bodied with lively acidity. Savory mid-palate flavors with a buttery finish. I wonder if the wine saw some oak?
abv: 13.4%
How much: $23.00
Region/Appellation: Bot River, South Africa.
I rated the 2012 Gabriëlskloof Wine Estate Viognier three glasses.
Life is too short to drink crappy wine. Expand your palate and keep trying.
