2011 Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay

4g

For the first time we attended the Beringer Valentines dinner in Napa.  The event was Napa formal and I was told a tie was optional.  I did wear my suit and Chris wore a beautiful dress.  We were greeted in the Rhine house by Carlos who is in charge of the wine club.  Carlos is a great guy and we always enjoy seeing him.  After a short meet and greet in the Rhine house we proceeded to the next house where we would be served a three coarse meal.  The food was amazing and the night was fun.  We met some new people and hopefully will see them at a future Beringer event.

The house we rented from had a bowl of Meyer Lemons so we brought them home in the anticipation Chris could remake the Meyer Lemon soup we had at the Valentines Day dinner.

When Chris decided to make the Meyer Lemon soup we had to relive the meal with a glass of Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay.

Smell
Aromatic, young-fruity with aromas of butter and citrus fruit.

Taste
Dry, full-bodied with balanced acidity.  Crisp mid-palate with a buttery long finish.

abv: 14.7

How much: $39.00

Region/Appellation: Napa Valley

I rated the 2011 Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay four glasses.  The Meyer Lemon soup and wine paired well just like the first time.

Life is too short to drink crappy wine.  Expand your palate and keep trying.
