2011 Girard Sauvignon Blanc

Well we are back from our cruise and it’s time to get back to living the healthy lifestyle.  Back to the home gym and eating more fish.  I can’t wait to share more pictures and write my blogs on the experiences we enjoyed with you all!

There was a bottle of 2011 Girard Suavignon Blanc in my wine cooler that I had been wanting to drink since we arrived back home.  Since Chris was preparing my favorite salad dressed with that balsamic dressing and feta, along with some fresh Talapia and seasoned rice with roasted squash & garlic, I thought this white would be very nice with dinner!

Sight
As you can see from the pictures above, the color depth was pale and the hue was a lemon yellow and very clear.

Smell
The Sauvignon Blanc was very aromatic with Aromas of Pears, Banana’s, Green apple and Melon.

Taste
The Sauvignon Blanc was not dry.  It was light to medium bodied and a little tart.  The tannins were medium with a medium finish and it was very flavorful.  I could taste Pears and overall Citrus flavors.

ABV: 13.9%

The 2011 Girard Sauvignon Blanc paired excellent with our dinner.  We rated the Sauvignon Blanc three glasses and Chris’ meal was a five!
