It was the final smut night with Chris and her friends. As usual there was plenty food and the girls were loud. Sometimes I have to text Chris asking them to simmer down. It’s all fun and I am happy she has this time with her friends. The smut shows start again in January so we will have some time off.
Eileen did it again, she found a value priced Merlot from a local bottle shop.
Sight
Medium color depth with a garnet hue.
Smell
Moderate, young-fruity with aromas of spice, blueberry, bing cherry.
Taste
Dry, medium-bodied with great acidity. The tannins were soft. Rich savory mid palate with a long finish.

Region/appellation: Washington, Columbia Valley.
If you can find a great bottle of wine at $10. I would buy a case. I rated the 2012 Wild Meadows Winery Merlot four glasses.
Life is too short to drink crappy wine. Expand your palate and keep trying.
