2010 Trentadue Winery La Storia

4g

We have a group of friends who enjoy to drink wine together.  We call the group “Saturday’s with the winers (Wine-ers)”.  It’s a group of 28 members.  We setup the group on Facebook where we frequently send messages about wine or who is hosting the next night. During the holidays everyone is busy so its hard to get many people together.  I decided to send a post “Its time for a “social”, we will host it at our house.  Hours and days later we had many people message and all were ready.

When attending a “winers night” you bring an appetizer and a bottle or two of a red or white wine to share.  It’s a great way to try wines from various parts of the world at varying price points.  We had a surprise couple attend, Mike and Erica who live in South Dakota.  They brought a bottle of Titus Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2011 Trentadue Winery La Storia Merlot.

Smell
Very aromatic, young-fruity aromas of cherry, blueberry, blackberry and sweet (from a small amount of residual sugar).

Taste
Dry, full-bodied, great acidity and medium tannins.  Rich long lingering mouth feel with a side-palate finish.

abv: 14.5%

How much: $32.00

Region/Appellation:  Sonoma, Alexander Valley.

Wine composition: 100% Merlot.

The wine is made to hold for the next three to six years.  I say enjoy it now!  I rated the 2010 Trentadue Winery La Storia four glasses.

Life is too short to drink crappy wine.  Expand your palate and keep trying.
